Hi Martin – sorry for the confusion. Citrix is the parent company which owns the GoToWebinar brand. Check here for the 45 day trial page link if that is still applicable for you
Best advice for presentation software is “go with what you already know”. The reason we advise this is that you should be concentrating on the content rather than learning yet another technical skill.
* Powerpoint is fine for preparing presentations.
* Keynote is fine if you are on mac.
* Presi is fine if you’re comfortable with it.
Because you are just sharing your screen, you could also use a photo slideshow to deliver your presentation.
NOTE on Live Presentations Using GoToWebinar …
You need to be aware that complicated transitions or effects will often not be received at the full frame rate by viewers who don’t have a fast internet connection.
With this in mind, we recommend doing a straight cut from one slide to the next, rather than using any of the more sophisticated effects in powerpoint of keynote. (Save those for your video recordings)
You talk about getting citrix software. Is this different from the GoToWebinar software which I have already purchased? Cheers, Martin
